Wisconsin-Green Bay edges Valparaiso 64-58
Jan 3, 2010 - 3:51 AM VALPARAISO, Ind.(AP) -- Bryquis Perine scored 16 points and Randy Berry had 10 points and 10 rebounds to lift Wisconsin-Green Bay to a 64-58 victory over Valparaiso Saturday night.Perine's jumper with 3:02 remaining put Wisconsin-Green Bay ahead to stay at 54-53. A 3-pointer by Valparaiso's Brandon McPherson drew the hosts within 60-58 with 15 seconds to play, but Rahmon Fletcher made two free throws with 13 seconds left for the Phoenix (11-5, 4-1 Horizon) to seal the outcome.
Brandon Wood scored 18 to lead all scorers for Valparaiso (6-9, 1-2). He also had eight rebounds. Cory Johnson had 14 points and Howard Little 10 for the Crusaders.
Green Bay outscored Valparaiso 32-29 in each half.
