Cal Poly-SLO beats Cal State Northridge 73-72

Jan 24, 2010 - 6:29 AM SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.(AP) -- Lorenzo Keeler scored 23 points and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo survived a last-minute shooting spree by Cal State Northridge to take a 73-72 win on Saturday night.

The Mustangs (8-10, 5-2 Big West) won their third straight with the help of David Hanson, who finished with 15 points, and Shawn Lewis, who had 11.

The Mustangs were up 73-69 with 19 seconds left when Mark Hill hit a 3-pointer for the Matadors (7-12, 2-4) to bring the score within a point.

The Matadors then missed two free throws, three jumpers and a 3-point try in the final 17 seconds to clinch the win for the Mustangs.

Hill finished with 24 points. Lenny Daniel scored 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds, while Kenny Daniels scored 12 points and made eight assists.
