Tucker, Wisconsin host struggling Pacific
Dec 23, 2006 - 5:03 PM Pacific (3-8) at No. 5 Wisconsin (11-1) 8:00 pm ESTMADISON, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Alando Tucker and Brian Butch take another crack at scoring a nice amount of points when fifth-ranked Wisconsin hosts Pacific on Saturday.
Tucker scored 32 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Butch added a career-high 27 points and 11 rebounds as the Badgers won their seventh game in a row, an 89-75 victory last Saturday over Pittsburgh, which was ranked second at the time.
Kammron Taylor had 14 points for Wisconsin, which connected on 8-of-16 3-point attempts.
The Badgers place a nine-game non-conference home winning streak on the line Saturday.
The Tigers shot just 34 percent (19-of-56) en route to their fifth consecutive setback, a 60-53 shortcoming to Nevada a week ago.
Steffan Johnson scored 11 points and Anthony Brown and Kyle Shiloh both added 10 for Pacific, which lost its seventh consecutive game to a ranked opponent.
