Texas A&M looks to continue best start in 47 years at Colorado
Jan 13, 2007 - 4:53 PM No. 9 Texas A&M (14-2) at Colorado (4-8) 7:00 pm ESTBOULDER, Colorado (Ticker) - Ninth-ranked Texas A&M tries to extend its winning streak to eight games when it visits Colorado in a Big 12 Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Aggies (14-2, 2-0 Big 12) are off to their best start since beginning 16-2 in the 1959-60 campaign.
The only team in the country not to allow an opponent to score more than 65 points, Texas A&M is coming off a 61-51 triumph at Baylor on Tuesday.
Acie Law IV scored 20 points and Joseph Jones added 14 and 12 rebounds for the Aggies, who shot just 37 percent from the floor but limited the Bears to 33 percent.
Colorado (4-8, 0-2) has lost back-to-back games, including a 78-54 setback at Oklahoma on Wednesday.
Richard Roby scored 20 points in the defeat and is averaging 25 points in Big 12 play. Texas A&M has won the last three meetings but trails the all-time series, 9-4.
