Washington St looks to remain atop Pac-10 at Stanford
Jan 13, 2007 - 4:54 PM No. 23 Washington St (15-2) at Stanford (10-4) 7:00 pm ESTPALO ALTO, California (Ticker) -- Washington State looks to move into sole possession of first place in the Pac-10 Conference when it visits Stanford on Saturday.
The 23rd-ranked Cougars (15-2, 4-1 Pac-10) are tied for first place with Arizona, which is idle Saturday.
Washington State ran its winning streak to four games since a loss at then-No. 1 UCLA on December 28 with a 73-56 road rout of California on Thursday.
Kyle Weaver, Daven Harmeling and Ivory Clark each scored 14 points to pace the Cougars, who had all five starters reach double figures.
Stanford (10-4, 2-2) won its second straight one-point game on Thursday, edging No. 24 Washington here, 78-77.
Anthony Goods scored 19 points, Lawrence Hill 18 and Robin Lopez 17 for the Cardinal, who trailed for much of the second half.
