Nevada looks for 14th straight WAC win at Hawaii
Jan 13, 2007 - 5:21 PM No. 15 Nevada (15-1) at Hawaii (10-6) 12:05 am ESTHONOLULU (Ticker) -- No. 15 Nevada looks to post its 14th consecutive Western Athletic Conference regular-season victory when it visits Hawaii on Saturday night.
The Wolf Pack (15-1, 3-0 WAC) are tied for first place atop the league standings with New Mexico State.
Nevada has won eight straight games overall, including a 72-63 triumph at San Jose State on Thursday.
Marcelus Kemp collected 33 points and eight rebounds for the Wolf Pack, who were without the services of Nick Fazekas. Still hampered from an ankle injury suffered Monday vs. Boise State, Fazekas also will sit out this one.
Hawaii (10-6, 1-2) are coming off an 83-66 triumph over Fresno State on Thursday.
Dominic Waters scored 15 points to lead six Warriors in double figures.
Nevada leads the series, 10-9, but is just 1-9 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
