Jan 20, 2007 - 4:40 PM California (12-6) at No. 10 Oregon (17-1) 8:00 pm EST

EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) - Tenth-ranked Oregon looks to remain atop the Pac-10 Conference standings Saturday when it hosts California.

Off to its best start since beginning the 1926-27 campaign 24-1, Oregon (17-1, 5-1 Pac-10) is tied for first in the conference with No. 2 UCLA, which hosts No. 12 Arizona on Saturday.

The Ducks have won four straight games since absorbing their only loss, an 84-82 setback to Southern California here on January 4. On Thursday, Oregon posted a 66-59 home win over Stanford.

Aaron Brooks collected 19 points and a career-high 10 rebounds for Oregon, which made 30-of-37 free throws to overcome 29 percent shooting (15-of-51) from the floor.

California (12-6, 4-2) has won four of its last five games, including a 77-74 triumph at Oregon State on Thursday.

Senior guard Ayinde Ubaka scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half to surpass the 1,000-point threshold in his career and freshman forward Ryan Anderson added 22 points for the Golden Bears.

Cal beat Oregon three times in 2005-06, twice in the regular season and in the semifinals of the Pac-10 tournament. Ubaka averaged 22 points in the contests.
