Law, Texas A&M look to snap long losing streak vs. Oklahoma
Jan 27, 2007 - 2:01 PM Oklahoma (11-7) at No. 6 Texas A&M (16-3) 2:00 pm ESTCOLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Acie Law IV and the Texas A&M Aggies aim to settle a seven-year score with conference nemesis Oklahoma on Saturday.
Texas A&M hasn't beaten haven't beaten Oklahoma since a 74-72 victory on Feb. 24, 1999, a span of 14 games.
The Aggies (16-3, 4-1 Big 12) will be chomping at the bit after suffering a 70-68 loss at Texas Tech on Wednesday, falling into a first-place tie with the Red Raiders and No. 8 Kansas.
Law scored a season-high 26 points and Dominique Kirk added 12 for A&M, which lost for the first time in 12 games.
The Aggies are 13-0 at home this season and seek to extend their overall winning streak at Reed Arena to 19 games.
The Sooners lost a close battle to Oklahoma State on Monday, 66-61. Nate Carter scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Michael Neal added 13 points for Oklahoma (11-7, 3-3), which fell to 0-4 on the road this season.
Texas A&M was not in the Top 25 in any of the last 14 meetings with Oklahoma, which was ranked in 12 of those games.
