Missouri State tops Air Force, 58-48
Dec 6, 2009 - 3:24 AM SPRINGFIELD, Mo.(AP) -- Kyle Weems scored 19 points Saturday night to lead Missouri State to a 58-48 win over the Air Force Academy and extend its winning streak to seven.Air Force overcame an 11-point deficit early in the first half to lead 28-27 at halftime.
A basket by Mike McLain at the start of the second half put Air Force ahead 30-27. The teams were tied at 34 with 16:04 when Missouri State (7-0) went on a 14-4 run to open up a 48-38 lead.
Weems scored 11 points in the first half and had six rebounds. Adam Leonard finished with 16 for Missouri State and was 4-for-11 from the 3-point line.
Grant Parker led Air Force (4-2) with 15 points and Evan Washington finished with 14.
