Feb 3, 2007 - 4:57 PM No. 14 Oklahoma St (18-3) at Colorado (5-13) 4:00 pm ESTBOULDER, Colorado (Ticker) - Looking to put a charge into a sputtering offense, Oklahoma State takes aim at a struggling opponent.
The 14th-ranked Cowboys look for their fourth win in five games to remain in the hunt for the top spot in the Big 12 Conference standings with Saturday's meeting against Colorado.
After setting a season high in points in a 105-103 triple-overtime victory over Texas on January 16, Oklahoma State has averaged just 59 points in its last three contests. Oklahoma State raised its conference mark to 4-2 by rebounding from a 17-point first half in last Saturday's 62-50 triumph over the Cyclones. Terrel Harris scored 21 points and Mario Boggan added 17 for the Cowboys.
The Buffaloes have lost four straight games, seven of eight against Big 12 foes, and are yielding an average of nearly 81 points.
Despite shooting nearly 56 percent (19-of-34) from the floor in the second half, Colorado suffered a 97-93 loss to Baylor on Tuesday. Xavier Silas scored 23 points and Jeremy Williams and Richard Roby 18 for the Buffaloes.
