Austin Peay routs Marian 85-55
Dec 13, 2009 - 3:23 AM CLARKESVILLE, Tenn.(AP) -- Tyrone Caldwell came off the bench to lead a balanced attack with 11 points and Austin Peay beat Marian (Ind.) 85-55 on Saturday night for its fifth straight win.Marcel Williams and Anthony Campbell each scored 10 points. John Fraley added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Governors (7-4). Eight of the Governors' 11 players who scored had at least eight points.
The Governors led 45-24 at halftime and the lead stayed at 29 points or more for the final 13:20.
The Governors shot 57.9 percent (33-for-57) from the field while the Knights made only 34.5 percent (20-for-58). Austin Peay also won the battle on the boards, outrebounding the Knights 41-27.
Matt Dickerson led the NAIA Knights (4-6), which has lost two in a row and five of their last six games, with 15 points while Mac Fiely added 12.
