Baylor easily gets past Texas-Arlington 94-63

Dec 20, 2009 - 10:45 PM WACO, Texas(AP) -- Ekpe Udoh scored 22 points to lead four Baylor players in double figures and finished one block shy of a triple-double as Baylor defeated Texas-Arlington 94-63 Sunday.

Udoh had career highs in points, rebounds (16) and blocks (nine) before fouling out with 2:04 remaining. LaceDarius Dunn added 17 points, Tweety Carter 12 and 10 assists and Quincy Acy 10 points for the Bears (9-1). Baylor has now won 18 straight games in December.

Marquez Haynes, the nation's second-leading scorer at 25.7 per game, led Arlington (4-4) with 16 points but also committed eight turnovers. Brandon Long added 12 points for the Mavericks, all on 3-pointers.

Baylor seized control with a 14-0 first-half run, highlighted by back-to-back Dunn 3-pointers and a spectacular fast-break dunk by Acy on a pass off the backboard by Carter. The Bears led 51-31 lead at the break.
