Oklahoma State seeks first conference road win of season

NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Coming off a stunning loss at Colorado, 17th-ranked Oklahoma State still is in search of a road win in Big 12 Conference play.

The Cowboys look to snap their six-game skid in conference road games Wednesday when they travel to Lloyd Noble Center for a contest against intrastate foe Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State (18-4, 4-3 Big 12) have lost all three of their conference road games this season, falling at Kansas, Texas A&M and Colorado.

The Cowboys, who surpassed last season's win total with a 62-50 victory against Iowa State on January 27, did not play well in Saturday's 89-77 loss to the Buffaloes, who entered the contest 5-13 overall.

JamesOn Curry scored 20 points and Byron Eaton added 19 for Oklahoma State, which shot 10-of-21 from the arc.

The Sooners (13-8, 4-4) are seeking a third straight victory following Saturday's 76-61 triumph over Texas Tech.

Nate Carter had 24 points and nine rebounds and Longar Longar had 19 points and 14 rebounds for Oklahoma.

Oklahoma holds a 121-88 lead in the all-time series against Oklahoma State, including a 74-26 edge in Norman.

Oklahoma State won the first meeting between the teams this season, 66-61, on January 22. Eaton scored 17 for the Cowboys while Carter netted 23 for the Sooners.
