Texas State tops Texas Lutheran 95-70
Dec 30, 2009 - 4:36 AM SAN MARCOS, Texas(AP) -- John Bowman and J.B. Conley came off the bench to score 14 points each and lead Texas State past Texas Lutheran 95-70 Tuesday night.Ryan White and Cameron Johnson had 11 points each for the Bobcats (4-8), and Jonathan Sloan added 10.
Isaac Williams scored 19 points and eight rebounds to lead Texas Lutheran (2-7), and Michael Floors added 14 points.
Texas Lutheran twice built five-point cushions and never let the Bobcats lead in the first 10 minutes of the game. But Texas State took its first lead with about 10 minutes left in the half and never relinquished the advantage.
Texas State outrebounded the Bulldogs 45-26 and hit 34 of 65 from the field (52.3 percent). Texas Lutheran made 25 of 52 (48.1 percent).
