Young leads IUPUI over Centenary 74-58
Jan 16, 2010 - 10:31 PM INDIANAPOLIS(AP) -- Alex Young had 29 points and nine rebounds to lead IUPUI to a 74-58 victory against Centenary on Saturday.Leroy Nobles added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Jaguars (13-7, 6-1 Summit League).
Daman Starring had 15 points and eight rebounds for Centenary (6-12, 2-6), and David Perez added 12 points.
Slow starts to both halves undid the Gents.
Centenary trailed 20-5 in the first half but fought back to make it a four-point game at intermission. However, a 17-2 run during the first 4:33 of the second half gave IUPUI a 50-31 lead, and the Gents got no closer than eight the rest of the way.
Jon Avery had 11 points for the Jaguars.
