Alabama A&M beats Alcorn State 84-70
Jan 26, 2010 - 4:45 AM LORMAN, Miss.(AP) -- Casey Cantey scored 20 points, leading four Alabama A&M players in double figures, as the Bulldogs beat Alcorn State 84-70 on Monday night.Bo Amusa added 15 points, Cornelius Hester had 12 and Marcus Lee 11 for the Bulldogs (6-9, 3-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who have won back to back games for the first time since November.
Alcorn State led 10-7 less than 5 minutes into the contest, but Evan Hilton score five of his eight points and Lee knocked down a 3-pointer during an 18-3 run for the Bulldogs. They never trailed again, leading by 12 at the break and outscoring the Braves 42-40 in the second half to seal it.
The Bulldogs scored 40 points off of 26 Alcorn State turnovers, and outscored the Braves 38-30 in the paint.
Jamarcus Holt, Shaunvanta Ingram and Ian Francis scored 15 points apiece to lead Alcorn State (0-20, 0-7).
