Lin, Curry lead Harvard easily past Columbia 74-45
Jan 30, 2010 - 3:13 AM NEW YORK(AP) -- Jeremy Lin scored 14 points and Brandyn Curry added 13 to help Harvard cruise to a 74-45 win over Columbia on Friday night.The Crimson (14-3, 3-0 Ivy League), who extended their win streak to seven games, hit eight straight free throws at one point in the first half to take a 37-23 lead. They went into halftime with a 15-point advantage.
Harvard, which never trailed, took a 54-32 lead on a 3-pointer by Andrew Van Nest with 11:52 in the second half. The Crimson held the Lions (6-11, 0-3) to 19 second-half points.
Harvard shot 55.6 percent from the floor (25-for-45) compared to Columbia, which shot 33.3 percent (13-for-39). The Crimson also made eight 3-pointers and scored more points in the paint (34-14) than the Lions.
Harvard's reserves outscored the Lions' bench players 35-14.
Noruwa Agho led Columbia with 12 points and Patrick Foley had 10 in 14 minutes.
