Murray State tops Jacksonville State 75-67

Feb 14, 2010 - 1:28 AM JACKSONVILLE, Ala.(AP) -- Tony Easley scored 19 points to lead Murray State to a 75-67 win over Jacksonville State on Saturday.

The Racers (24-3, 15-0 Ohio Valley Conference) have won 15 games in a row, and matched Butler for the longest win streak in the nation. Murray State also clinched a share of the OVC regular season title. Dating to last season, the Racers have won 22 straight conference games.

Murray State held a 42-40 lead at halftime, but the Racers used an 8-2 run in the second half to take a 69-57 lead with 5:01 remaining.

Nick Murphy scored 24 points for the Gamecocks (11-13, 7-7). Trenton Marshall added 17 points and eight rebounds.

Murray State shot 81.8 percent from the free throw line (27-for-33), while Jacksonville State shot 62.5 percent from the foul line (10-for-16).
