No. 13 Air Force aims to bounce back vs. lowly TCU

Feb 24, 2007 - 3:53 PM No. 13 Air Force (23-5) at TCU (10-15) 2:00 pm EST

FORT WORTH, Texas (Ticker) -- Air Force has had to wait nearly a week to redeem itself from a disappointing loss.

The 13th-ranked Falcons hope to bounce back Saturday when they visit TCU in a Mountain West Conference contest.

The Falcons had their three-game winning streak stopped with Tuesday's 60-50 defeat at UNLV despite 29 combined points from Nick Welch and Dan Nwaelele.

With the loss, Air Force (23-5, 10-4 MVC) fell into a tie with the Runnin' Rebels for second place in the conference, just 1 1/2 games behind league leader Brigham Young.

The Falcons have dropped two of their last three contests away from Clune Arena, where they are riding a whopping 30-game winning streak.

TCU (10-15, 2-11) continues to struggle this season, dropping its 11th consecutive game, a 74-58 setback at New Mexico last Saturday.

Air Force leads the all-time series 4-1, including a four-game winning streak heading into Saturday's matchup.
