Oregon seeks revenge against Washington

Feb 24, 2007 - 6:09 PM Washington (16-11) at No. 24 Oregon (21-7) 10:30 pm EST

EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Oregon hopes a charge is going to come soon.

The No. 24 Ducks look to jump start a late-season surge when they face Washington in a Pac-10 Conference matchup on Saturday.

Freshman Tajuan Porter scored 21 points and Aaron Brooks chipped in 16 and six assists as Oregon ended a three-game losing streak with a 64-59 victory over No. 11 Washington State on Thursday.

Along with stringing together wins, the Ducks (21-7, 9-7 Pac-10) will be looking to avenge an 89-77 loss to the Huskies in Seattle on January 25.

Washington enters the matchup winning its last two meetings with Oregon here, but has dropped its previous three games this season following Thursday's 73-65 setback at Oregon State.

Freshman Spencer Hawes scored 22 points in the setback, and needs just 11 more to surpass Mike Hayward's freshmen record of 406 points set in 1988. The 7-footer is averaging 15.2 points.

The Huskies (16-11, 6-9) have lost their last four road games against nationally ranked opponents.
