Wisconsin-Milwaukee defeats Cleveland State 82-75

Mar 6, 2010 - 4:28 AM INDIANAPOLIS(AP) -- Anthony Hill and Ja'Rob McCallum scored 14 points apiece as Wisconsin-Milwaukee beat Cleveland State 82-75 Friday night in the second round of the Horizon League tournament.

Ricky Franklin added 13, Ryan Haggerty 12, James Eayrs 11 and Jason Haverkamp 10 for the fourth-seeded Panthers (20-13), who have won seven of their last eight.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee will face top seed Butler (26-4) in the semifinals Saturday.

Tim Kamczyc scored 20 to lead the fifth-seeded Vikings (21-12), who won last year's tournament. Norris Cole added 16, Jeremy Montgomery 15 and Lance James 13.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee shot 55.3 percent (26 of 47) from the field and 57.1 percent (8 of 14) from 3-point territory. The Panthers never trailed.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which won its 20th game for the second time in coach Rob Jeter's five seasons, opened the tournament with a 73-67 victory over Illinois-Chicago.
