Quinnipiac extends Moore through 2015-16 season

Jul 18, 2011 - 11:09 PM Hamden, CT (Sports Network) - Quinnipiac University head men's basketball coach Tom Moore signed an extension through the 2015-16 season on Monday.

Moore became the sixth head coach in school history in 2007 as he replaced Joe DeSantis, who was let go by the school after 11 seasons.

Moore guided the Bobcats to a 22-10 mark last season after a 23-10 mark in 2009-10 that saw the school win its first-ever NEC regular season title and a spot in the National Invitational Tournament.

"I am thrilled to receive another contract extension from Quinnipiac University," said Moore. "President John Lahey and director of athletics Jack McDonald have been incredibly supportive of me and my program since I arrived here four years ago. I am excited about our future as we continue to establish Quinnipiac as one of the elite programs in the Northeast Conference."

Over his four seasons with the school, his team has posted a record of 76-52.
