Quinnipiac extends Moore through 2016-17 season
Jul 11, 2012 - 11:34 PM Hamden, CT (Sports Network) - Quinnipiac University head men's basketball coach Tom Moore signed a one-year contract extension through the 2016-17 season on Wednesday.Moore became the sixth head coach in school history in 2007 as he replaced Joe DeSantis, who was let go after 11 seasons.
Moore has twice been named the Northeast Conference Coach of the Year while at Quinnipiac, which went 18-14 last season and reached the postseason for a third straight year.
The Bobcats lost in the first round of the CBI Invitational last season.
"The support that I have received from our administration has been invaluable in helping us elevate our program," said Moore. "I am excited and energized about continuing our success in the future, both on the court and in the classroom."
Over his five seasons with the school, his team has posted a record of 93-65.
