Robert Morris hangs on for 67-64 win over MVSU

Nov 29, 2015 - 4:02 AM COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Rodney Pryor scored 17 points while grabbing 12 rebounds and Robert Morris hung on Saturday night to get its first win of the season, edging Mississippi Valley State 67-64.

Robert Morris (1-6) led by as many as eight midway through the second half but fell behind with 1:17 to go when Isaac Williams drained a 3-pointer for Mississippi Valley State to make it 62-61. Pryor then put the Colonials back in front with a layup and Matty McConnell and Billy Giles sealed the win at the free throw line.

Giles finished with 12 points and Isaiah Still contributed 10 for the Colonials, who shot 45 percent from the field but had 25 turnovers.

Mississippi Valley State (0-6) got 19 points from Williams. Marcus Romain added 14 points and Damian Young had 11 for the Delta Devils.
