Lofton, Tennessee host Arkansas Monticello

No. 7 Tennessee - which has a 17-game home winning streak - won its opener on Friday, 80-63, over Temple. JaJuan Smith led four players in double figures with 15 points, while the reigning two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year Chris Lofton struggled.
Lofton, who possesses the Tennessee single season record for 3-pointers made with 114, shot 0-of-5 from beyond the arc on Friday. It was just the fourth time in his four-year career that the guard did not make a 3-point attempt.
The 6-2 senior averaged 20.8 points per game last season but scored just 10 in the opener on 8-of-8 from the free throw line.
The Division II Boll Weevils went 9-17 last season and have only two returning letterman.
This will be the first ever meeting between Tennessee and Arkansas-Monticello.
