Hofstra's Nichols to miss rest of season
Jan 26, 2016 - 7:26 PM HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) Hofstra senior forward Malik Nichols will miss the remainder of the season with an injury to his left knee.The school said Tuesday that Nichols was injured in the second half of Sunday's victory over William & Mary.
Nichols played in all 20 games this season for the Pride and averaged 5.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in 18.1 minutes.
This was his second season at Hofstra. Last season Nichols, who played at Boys & Girls H.S. in Brooklyn, averaged 5.0 points and 4.7 rebounds.
Hofstra (14-6, 6-2) is tied for first place in the Colonial Athletic Association.
