Reynolds, Villanova take on North Carolina State

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) - Sophomore Scottie Reynolds and No. 19 Villanova take on North Carolina State in the championship game of the Old Spice Classic on Sunday.

Reynolds has scored 40 points in leading Villanova to wins over Central Florida and George Mason in the first two rounds of the tournament.

The reigning Big East Freshman of the Year leads the team with 17.0 points and 4.3 assists per game.

Junior Shane Clark is second on the Wildcats in scoring with 15.3 points per game, while grabbing 8.5 rebounds per contest.

North Carolina State escaped with a two-point win over South Carolina in the semifinals after defeating Rider in the opening round.

Freshman J.J. Hickson, who went 12-of-12 from the field in the season opener on November 15, leads the Wolfpack in scoring and rebounding, averaging 18.8 points and 8.5 boards.

The Wolfpack have won six of the last seven meetings and lead the all-time series, 11-10, but the two schools have not met since 1973.
