Washington State tries to stay undefeated against Baylor

WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Sixth-ranked Washington State looks to stay undefeated on Friday when it visits Baylor.

The Cougars claimed a 71-62 victory over Air Force in their last game on Sunday. Washington State trailed by three points at halftime but a 14-0 run, coupled with a seven-minute drought by Air Force to begin the second half, helped cement the win.

Taylor Rochestie, who paced the Cougars with 22 points against Air Force, is averaging 11.8 points a game and leads his team with 5.2 assists.

Derrick Low tops the Cougars in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per outing.

After two narrown victories, Baylor posted a decisive 85-62 triumph over Centenary on Sunday. Henry Dugat and LaceDarius Dunn each scored 17 points to lead the Bears, who are off to their best start since 2001-02.

Baylor dominated the glass, outrebounding Centenary, 46-34. The Bears also tied a season-high with 12 3-pointers and shot 43 percent from the arc - their best of the young campaign.
