Wisconsin looks to bounce back at home against Wofford

Dec 3, 2007 - 11:06 PM Wofford (3-1) at No. 23 Wisconsin (5-1) 9:00 pm EST

MADISON, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Fresh off its first loss of the season, Wisconsin must be thrilled to return to the friendly confines of the Kohl Center.

The 23rd-ranked Badgers look to continue their home dominance Monday when they host Wofford.

The Badgers were routed, 82-58, at Duke on Tuesday, giving up more than 55 points for the first time all season. The Badgers trailed, 48-25, at the half and never really challenged the Blue Devils in their first road game of the season.

But Wisconsin has been nearly invincible at home over the past few seasons, posting a 96-5 record under coach Bo Ryan.

The Badgers have won 27 straight contests here, the third-longest active home winning streak in the country.

Sophomore Trevon Hughes scored 12 points Tuesday against the Blue Devils and leads the Badgers in scoring at 18.2 points per game.

After losing its first game of the season, Wofford has won three games in a row, scoring at least 80 points in all three games.

The Terriers are coming off an 85-35 drubbing of Division II Toccoa Falls on November 26.
