Georgetown seeking win vs. Fordham in final game of 2007

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- No. 8 Georgetown looks to close out 2007 with a win when it hosts Fordham on Monday.

Georgetown responded from its first loss of the season with a 78-51 drubbing against American on Saturday. DaJuan Summers scored 16 points to pace the Hoyas while Roy Hibbert bounced back from his worst game of the season, finishing with 14 points.

As a team, the Hoyas shot 63 percent from the floor and made 8-of-16 3-pointers. However, despite have a distinct height advantage, Georgetown ended the game with just a two-rebound advantage.

The 7-2 Hibbert, who is averaging 7.0 rebounds this season, grabbed just one board against American.

"Our rebounding is an issue," Georgetown coach John Thompson III said. "We have to pursue the ball better than we have been. For us to win this year, we have to do a better job of limiting people to one shot and, just as important, getting second shots for us."

Fordham also rebounded from a loss during its last game on Friday. Bryant Dunston paced the Rams with 24 points and 14 rebounds en route to a 72-60 victory over Binghamton.

A senior forward, Dunston is averaging a team-high 14.5 points and 7.6 rebounds.
