Butler looks to bounce back against Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Ticker) - No. 12 Butler looks to start a new winning streak when it visits Youngstown State in a Horizon League contest on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (16-2, 5-2 Horizon) had their eight-game winning streak snapped in Thursday's 56-52 defeat at Cleveland State. The loss also dropped Butler 1 1/2 games behind the Vikings (13-5, 6-0) for first place in the league.

The 52 points were the second-lowest Butler has scored this season. The Bulldogs scored 42 in their only other loss this season at Wright State.

Senior Mike Green leads the team in scoring at 15.2 points per game, while second-leading scorer A.J. Graves tied a season low with five points on 2-of-11 shooting in Thursday's defeat.

The Penguins (7-10, 3-4) have lost three of their last four games and are coming off a 67-61 defeat to Valparaiso on Thursday.

Senior Byron Davis scored a season-high 23 points in the loss and leads the team in scoring at 14.6 per contest.

Butler swept the two-game series last season, winning by an average of 20.5 points.
