Arizona State goes for 11th straight win

PALO ALTO, California (Ticker) - After a thrilling - and possibly exhausting - victory on Thursday, No. 25 Arizona State will go for its 11th straight win when it visits Stanford in a Pac-10 Conference matchup on Saturday.

The Sun Devils (14-2, 4-0 Pac-10) are coming off a 99-90 double-overtime victory at California on Thursday. The wild contest featured 12 ties and 18 lead changes.

Freshman James Harden scored 25 of his season-high 27 points after halftime and freshman Ty Abbott contributed seven 3-pointers and 25 points for the Sun Devils.

Jeff Pendergraph added 26 points for Arizona State, which is ranked for the first time since 1995 and is seeking its first 5-0 start in the conference since the 1979-80 campaign.

The Cardinal (14-3, 3-2) are coming off a 56-52 victory over Arizona on Thursday. Brook Lopez, who is averaging 17.0 points since returning from an academic suspension, scored 19 on Thursday.

Stanford has won the last four meetings.
