No. 17 Wisconsin looks to continue Michigan's woes

MADISON, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- In a battle of teams heading in opposite directions, No. 11 Wisconsin hosts Michigan on Tuesday in a Big Ten Conference contest.

While the Badgers (15-2, 5-0) are on a nine-game winning streak, the Wolverines (5-13, 1-5) are 1-7 in their last eight games.

Wisconson features a balanced attack, as sophomore guard Trevon Hughes (13.3ppg), senior center/forward Brian Butch (13.1) and junior forward Marcus Landry (10.9) all average in double figures.

The Badgers trail the all-time series, 86-58, but have won eight of the last 12 games against Michigan.

Wisconsin is holding its opponents to 54.1 points per game with an average victory margin of 17.2 points. The Wolverines are shooting only 41 percent from the field and average 65.4 points.

Michigan is led offensively by 6-foot-5 freshman guard Manny Harris at 15.9 points per game, while sophomore forward DeShawn Sims contributes 13.8 points for first-year coach John Beilein.
