Duke seeking revenge vs. North Carolina State

Jan 31, 2008 - 2:49 PM North Carolina State (13-6) at No. 3 Duke (17-1) 9:00 pm EST

DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) - No. 3 Duke is likely aiming for revenge on Thursday when it faces North Carolina State.

It is the first meeting between the teams since Duke (17-1, 5-0 ACC) was upset by North Carolina State in the first round of last season's NCAA Tournament.

The Blue Devils enter this game as the only team still unbeaten in conference play.

Duke picked up its seventh straight win on Sunday, overcoming a nine-point halftime deficit to earn a 93-84 victory on the road against Maryland.

DeMarcus Nelson, the team's leading scorer, netted 19 of his 27 points in the second half against Maryland as the Blue Devils outscored the Terrapins, 51-33, in the second half.

North Carolina State (13-6, 2-3) is coming off a 69-66 win over Florida State on Saturday.

The Blue Devils have beaten the Wolfpack 10 straight times at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
