Butler goes for fifth straight win

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) - No. 11 Butler looks to continue its winning ways when they visit Wisconsin Green Bay on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (20-2, 9-2 Horizon League) have won four straight games and kicked off a three-game road trip with a 71-68 victory at Valparaiso on Wednesday. Butler trailed by three with 36 seconds before scoring the game's final six points to get the win.

A.J. Graves had 20 points and Pete Campbell added 17 for Butler, which has matched the best 22-game start in school history set by last season's team. The 2006-07 squad started the season 23-2.

The Bulldogs currently have a 1 1/2 game lead over Wright State (8-4) and lead the Phoenix (13-9, 7-5) by 2 1/2 games in the Horizon League with a chance to add to that margin on Saturday.

Wisconsin Green Bay has won two straight and four out of five after a 76-71 victory over Valparaiso on Thursday.

Terry Evans had 16 points and 12 rebounds, while leading scorer Mike Schachtner added 13 points. Schachtner is averaging 17.2 points per game this season.

Butler has won the last seven meetings with Wisconsin Green Bay and defeated the Phoenix, 74-65, in the first contest between the two teams this season on January 10.
