Mar 14, 2008 - 2:25 PM Nebraska (19-11) at No. 5 Kansas (28-3) 7:00 pm EDT

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) - Fifth-ranked Kansas looks to begin another deep run in the Big 12 Conference tournament and continue its recent domination of Nebraska when the two teams clash in the quarterfinal round of the Big 12 tournament on Friday.

The second-seeded Jayhawks have won each of the past two conference tournaments, and have also defeated the Cornhuskers 10 straight times.

Kansas ended the regular season on a four-game winning streak, winning by an average of 25.0 points per game. The Jayhawks defeated Texas Tech, 109-51, in their home finale on March 8.

Darrell Arthur leads a balanced attack, averaging 13.4 points per game, as Kansas has seven players scoring at least 7.3 per contest.

The seventh-seeded Cornhuskers have won their last two games, including a 61-56 victory over Missouri in the opening round on Thursday.

Senior center Aleks Maric had 17 points and 13 rebounds in the Thursday's win, but did not score in Kansas' 84-49 victory over Nebraska on January 26. Maric leads the team in scoring and rebounding at 16.1 and 10.3 per game, respectively.

The winner will face either Texas A&M or Kansas State in the semifinals on Saturday.
