Duke looks to continue home dominance

DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Fifth-ranked Duke aims to extend its home winning streak against non-conference opponents when it hosts Rhode Island on Sunday.

The Blue Devils (2-0) have won 61 consecutive games at Cameron Indoor Stadium against teams outside the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Duke cruised to a pair of easy wins on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, advancing to Madison Square Garden for the semifinals of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. Duke will play Southern Illinois on Thursday.

Sophomore Kyle Singler is averaging 19 points and nine rebounds through two games. Singler had 19 and eight in Tuesday's 97-54 victory over Georgia Southern.

The Rams (1-0) are coming off a 21-12 campaign, which included a bid to the NIT.

Jimmy Baron scored 17 points and Keith Cothran added 16 as Rhode Island won its opener, 76-74 against Brown on Friday.

Duke has won 11 straight games against Atlantic-10 schools.
