ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (Ticker) -- Wisconsin is no stranger to the Paradise Jam Tournament, but it has yet to get acquainted with its opponent in this year's championship game.

The 19th-ranked Badgers seek to win the tournament for the second time in three years when they face No. 2 Connecticut for the first time ever on Monday.

Wisconsin (4-0), which won the Paradise Jam in 2005, advanced to the final with a 64-49 win over San Diego on Sunday. The Badgers spoiled a chance for UConn to get revenge against the Toreros for a shocking 70-69 loss in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament last season.

Trevon Hughes scored 21 points for Wisconsin.

The Badgers beat Norfolk State, Eastern Kentucky and Old Dominion en route to the title here in 2005. None of those teams are the caliber of Connecticut, which is showing why it is the favorite to win the best league in the nation - the Big East Conference.

Hasheem Thabeet had 19 points 14 rebounds and seven blocks in a 76-63 win over No. 17 Miami on Sunday. A.J. Price added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Huskies (4-0), who shot a season-low 47.5 percent from the floor.
