Villanova visits Pennsylvania in first road contest
Dec 2, 2008 - 1:47 PM No. 16 Villanova (6-0) at Pennsylvania (1-4) 8:00 p.m. ESTPHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Sixteenth-ranked Villanova hits the road for the first time this season when it visits Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
After four straight wins at home to open the season, Villanova has earned its last two wins in Philadelphia as part of the Philly Classic.
Following a 17-point victory against Towson, Dante Cunningham scored 19 points and added 12 rebounds to pace the Wildcats to a 78-65 victory against Rhode Island on Saturday.
Reggie Redding had 11 points and a career-high 12 rebounds - seven on the offensive end, which helped Villanova make up for shooting 2-of-15 from the arc.
The Wildcats will look to improve their 3-point shooting against Pennsylvania, which has lost two straight after earning its lone win against Monmouth on November 22.
After enduring a 12-point loss to Penn State, the Quakers dropped a 73-63 decision to Albany on Sunday.
Tyler Bernardini, Pennsylvania's leading scorer at 17.8 points per game, is one of three players averaging double figures. Kevin Egee has averaged 12 points per contest while Brennan Votel has contributed 10.2 and 5.6 rebounds.
