LSU looks to bounce back against McNeese State
Nov 29, 2006 - 3:30 PM McNeese St (2-4) at No. 12 LSU (2-1) 8:00 pm ESTBATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Louisiana State is facing the right opponent to start rebuilding its confidence.
Attempting to bounce back from their first loss of the season, the 12th-ranked Tigers host McNeese State on Wednesday.
LSU owns a 15-0 record all-time against McNeese State. Even more impressive is the fact that the Tigers are riding a 62-game winning streak at home vs. Louisiana schools.
Glen Davis scored 17 points and collected 13 rebounds, but was responsible for six turnovers as LSU endured a 57-53 loss to Wichita State on Saturday. Darnell Lazare had 11 points for the Tigers, who shot 40 percent (22-of-55) from the floor.
John Ford and Jarvis Bradley both scored 15 points as the Cowboys rolled to a 77-53 triumph over Texas College on Saturday. Kleon Penn had nine boards and five blocks for McNeese State, which made 6-of-11 3-pointers.
