Gonzaga looks to continue hot start

Dec 6, 2008 - 11:23 AM No. 5 Gonzaga (5-0) at Indiana (4-3), 1:30 p.m. EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- After winning the Old Spice Classic, Gonzaga should not have much trouble against Indiana.

The fifth-ranked Bulldogs hope to continue their fast start when they visit the Hoosiers on Saturday.

Gonzaga posted victories over Oklahoma State and Maryland in Orlando, Florida last week before knocking off then-No. 12 Tennessee, 83-74, in the championship of the tournament.

Steven Gray scored 19 points off the bench in the win and the Bulldogs have six players averaging at least 9.6 points per contest this season. Josh Heytvelt leads the bunch at 15 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

After the trio of wins last week, Gonzaga should not face much difficulty at Indiana, which is in the middle of a rebuilding season.

The Hoosiers are coming off an 83-58 setback at Wake Forest on Wednesday in the team's first road game. Indiana had 26 turnovers in the loss.

Freshman Tom Pritchard leads the Hoosiers in scoring at 14.1 points per game, but the forward had a season-low four points against Wake Forest.

Gonzaga has not begun a season 6-0 since it won the first eight games to open the 1994-95 campaign.
