Marquette looks to bounce back at home

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- No. 23 Marquette hopes to rebound from a loss when it hosts Western Carolina on Friday.

The Golden Eagles are coming off an 80-68 loss to Tennessee on Tuesday, falling to 1-2 in contests away from the Bradley Center.

Wesley Matthews scored a career-high 30 points in the loss. The senior leads Marquette in scoring at 20.6 per game. Jerel McNeal, who averages 17.4 points per contest, was held to a season-low 10 points against Tennessee.

Western Carolina, which is opening up a three-game road trip, had its four-game winning streak snapped with a 96-90 setback to Gardner-Webb on Wednesday.

Jake Robinson, who scored a season-high 23 points in the loss, is averaging 15.5 per contest to lead the Catamounts.
