Red-hot Oklahoma State seeking impressive win

Jan 17, 2009 - 11:18 AM Oklahoma State (12-3) at No. 21 Baylor (13-3) 1:45 p.m. EST

WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Oklahoma State is on a roll and that's bad news for slumping Baylor.

The Cowboys go for their eighth straight win on Saturday when they visit the 21st-ranked Bears.

Oklahoma State (12-3, 1-0 Big 12) built plenty of momentum during its first six games of its winning streak, overpowering lesser competition that included the likes of Arkansas State, Northwestern State and Savannah State.

The Cowboys' confidence helped them open Big 12 play with a win, forging a 72-61 victory over Texas A&M last Saturday.

Marshall Moses set career-highs with 15 points and 13 rebounds, helping Oklahoma State overcome an off-night by leading scorer James Anderson, who had only 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting.

The Cowboys will need Anderson to get closer to his 17.8 points per game average against Baylor (13-3, 1-1), which has lost two of its last three games.

Tweety Carter scored 16 points and LaceDarius Dunn added 14 for the Bears, who only made 5-of-16 from the arc and surrendered 18 points off 11 turnovers.
