Harden, Arizona St hope to rebound at streaking UCLA

Jan 17, 2009 - 11:19 AM No. 15 Arizona State (14-3) at No. 7 UCLA (14-2), 3:45 p.m. EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Things couldn't have gone much worse for James Harden and Arizona State in the opener of their three-game road trip. It does not get any easier on Saturday.

The 15th-ranked Sun Devils will hope to snap seventh-ranked UCLA's 10-game winning streak when the teams meet in a Pac-10 Conference contest.

Arizona State (14-3, 3-2 Pac-10) is coming off a 61-49 setback at Southern California on Thursday.

The Sun Devils' leading scorer, Harden had entered the contest averaging 23.1 points per game before he was held to a career-low four points in the loss. The sophomore missed all eight of his field-goal attempts.

The Sun Devils shot 33 percent (15-of-45) in the setback and have dropped their last 10 meetings with the Bruins, who are the three-time defending Pac-10 champions.

After a rough stretch earlier in the season, UCLA (14-2, 4-0) has found its groove over the past month.

Nikola Dragovic led five Bruins in double figures with 15 points as UCLA posted an 83-60 victory over Arizona on Thursday.

Darren Collison added 12 and leads the team in scoring at 15 per contest.
