Jan 17, 2009 - 11:22 AM No. 11 Texas (12-4) at Texas Tech (10-6), 4:00 p.m. EST

LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Texas will try and rebound from its first conference loss of the season when it visits Texas Tech on Saturday.

The 11th-ranked Longhorns (12-4, 1-1 Big 12) were thoroughly outplayed in a 78-63 setback at fifth-ranked Oklahoma on Monday.

A.J. Abrams scored 22 points, but his shooting slump continued as he was 8-of-27 from the floor, including 3-of-15 from the arc.

The senior guard is averaging 17.8 points per game to lead Texas but is shooting 29 percent (27-of-93) over his last six games.

The Red Raiders (10-6, 0-1) may help Abrams find his touch as Texas Tech is giving up 77.7 points per contest this season - easily the most in the Big 12.

Alan Voskuil and John Roberson are each averaging 14.4 points per game to lead Texas Tech, which dropped its conference opener, 73-61, at Baylor on January 10. The Red Raiders also lost their most recent home game to Texas Christian on January 6.

Texas Tech won the last home meeting in this series, 83-80, its third win in the last 19 contests between the teams.
