Oklahoma looks to keep rolling in Big 12

NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Picked to win the Big 12 Conference in the preseason coaches' poll, Oklahoma has not disappointed.

The fifth-ranked Sooners go for their sixth straight win when they host Nebraska on Wednesday.

Oklahoma (17-1, 3-0 Big 12) has gotten off to an impressive start in conference play, which includes a victory over Texas.

Battling foul trouble, leading scorer Blake Griffin was held to 16 points but Austin Johnson had his second straight solid game with 19 for the Sooners, who defeated Texas A&M, 69-63, on Saturday.

Johnson, who is averaging 7.7 per contest, had 15 in a 78-63 victory over Texas on January 12. Griffin is averaging 22 points and 13.4 rebounds to lead Oklahoma.

Nebraska (12-4, 2-1) is 11-1 at home this season and is coming off a 73-51 triumph over Kansas State on Saturday.

Steve Harley leads the Cornhuskers in scoring at 12.3 points per game.
