Purdue visits slumping Wisconsin
Jan 27, 2009 - 2:31 PM No. 18 Purdue (15-4) at Wisconsin (12-7), 9:00 p.m. ESTMADISON, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- A pair of teams going in opposite directions meet on Tuesday when 18th-ranked Purdue visits Wisconsin in a Big Ten Conference matchup.
Purdue (15-4, 4-2 Big Ten) has reeled off four straight wins since starting 0-2 in the conference, while Wisconsin (12-7, 3-4) has lost four straight conference games for the first time since the 1997-98 campaign.
JaJuan Johnson scored 19 points and E'Twaun Moore had 16 as the Boilermakers defeated Minnesota, 70-63, on Thursday.
Moore is averaging 14 points per game to lead Purdue, which held Minnesota to 28 percent (16-of-58) shooting in the win.
The Badgers dropped a pair of overtime contests before losing, 64-57, at Illinois on Saturday. Joe Krabbenhoft had 16 points and 12 rebounds in the setback.
Purdue won the first meeting, 65-52, on January 11, which started each team's respective streaks. The Boilermakers also won at the Kohl Center last season.
