Michigan State hosts lowly Indiana

EAST LANSING, Michigan (Ticker) -- Michigan State and Indiana have spent much of the past decade battling near the top of the Big Ten Conference. That is not the case this season.

The 14th-ranked Spartans go for their second straight win when they host the Hoosiers on Saturday.

Michigan State (18-4, 8-2 Big Ten) is alone atop the Big Ten, while Indiana (6-15, 1-8) in mired in last place.

The Spartans snapped a two-game home losing streak with a 76-47 rout of Minnesota on Wednesday. The 47 points were the fewest they have allowed this season.

Kalin Lucas is averaging 15 points per game to lead Michigan State, which played its last game without second-leading scorer Raymar Morgan due to pneumonia.

Indiana snapped an 11-game losing streak with a 68-60 victory over Iowa on Wednesday for its first Big Ten win of the season.

Devan Dumes scored a career-high 27 points in the win, making all five of his 3-pointers. The junior is averaging a team-best 14.2 points per contest.
