Clemson aims for fourth straight win

Feb 7, 2009 - 1:00 PM Florida State (17-5) at No. 10 Clemson (19-2), 7:00 p.m. EST

CLEMSON, South Carolina (Ticker) -- Clemson earned respect with its last win. Now it will try to keep it.

The 10th-ranked Tigers go for their fourth straight win when they host Florida State on Saturday.

Clemson (19-2, 5-2 ACC) snapped a 20-game regular-season losing streak to Duke in emphatic fashion on Wednesday, blowing out the Blue Devils, 74-47.

Trevor Booker scored 21 points and Terrence Oglesby had 17 in the win for the Tigers, who held the Blue Devils to 31 percent (16-of-52) shooting and proved they belong in the conversation among the conference's elite.

"I know a lot of people saw this game and know we're for real now," Booker said.

The Tigers hope to avoid a letdown against the Seminoles (17-5, 4-3), who are looking for a signature win to help build their NCAA Tournament resume.

Toney Douglas scored 21 points as Florida State posted a 62-58 victory over Georgia Tech on Thursday.

Douglas is the lone Seminoles player averaging in double figures at 20.2 points per game.
