Kansas seeks more success at home vs. Oklahoma State

Feb 7, 2009 - 12:58 PM Oklahoma State (14-7) at No. 24 Kansas (18-4), 3:30 p.m. EST

LAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) -- Kansas is one of nine Division I teams in the nation to remain undefeated in conference play. The 24th-ranked Jayhawks look to keep it that way with some home cookin'.

Seeking their eighth straight victory overall, Kansas hosts Oklahoma State in a battle of Big 12 foes on Saturday.

The Jayhawks (18-4, 7-0 Big 12), who have held six of their last eight and 14 of 22 opponents this season to under 40 percent shooting, return home after cruising to a 75-65 win over Baylor on Monday.

Extending their winning run is certainly probable as the Cowboys (14-7, 3-4) have lost 13 in a row at Allen Fieldhouse since posting an 87-81 victory on February 8, 1989.

Kansas' 36-game home win streak is the longest current run in the nation and third-longest in school history.

Oklahoma State, which beat the Jayhawks, 61-60, last season at home, is coming off a thrilling 81-80 triumph over Texas Tech on Wednesday.

Prior to that, the Cowboys had dropped four of five after winning seven in a row.
